The printed-copy voucher is valid for 24 months and covers a book of the listed spec even if print prices rise. A standard book — up to 150 pages, one copy, black & white, EU/EEA delivery — is fully covered, so you pay €0 at printing time. If your finished book runs longer, includes colour pages, or you want several copies, we add the surcharge from our printed-book price list. Credits are one shared balance you spend however your book needs: transcription costs 1 credit per minute, so five hours of recordings takes about 300 credits — and you can top the balance up with a credit pack at any time.

Credits are one simple metering unit. Rather than guess what a number means, here's what real book-making moments cost — and Vellu always shows the exact price before you confirm.
Your 100 free signup credits cover about 100 minutes of audio transcribed, or your first several AI-written chapters — enough to take a book from idea to first draft. A full book typically grows out of 5–15 hours of recordings: transcribing those alone takes 300–900 credits, and a finished first draft lands at roughly 1,000–2,000 credits in total depending on the book's scope. Recordings like that typically become a book of 150–300 pages; a bundle's print voucher covers 150 pages, and a longer book only adds a small per-page surcharge at print time. Adding your own photographs costs no credits.
What each AI operation costs
Credits are charged only for AI operations — recording, manual editing, and reading your book are always free. These per-operation costs are subject to change as we tune the service, and Vellu always shows the exact credit cost before you confirm an action.

Your entire credit balance expires 24 months after your most recent payment — a subscription renewal, credit pack, book bundle, or gift redemption. Any new payment resets the clock to +24 months. We send a 14-day warning email before expiration. Expiration only affects unused credits — your recordings, texts, and books stay in your account untouched.

Debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay across the EU/EEA. In Finland, one-time purchases — book bundles, credit packs, and printed books — can also be paid by online bank payment (not available for subscriptions). Payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment processor.
Self-service portal
Switch plans, update payment methods, cancel, and download invoices from the secure billing portal at any time.
Finnish VAT (25.5 %)

14-day refunds
EU right of withdrawal, self-service from the app. Credit packs and a subscription's first payment are refundable within 14 days as long as the credits they granted are unused; an unredeemed gift voucher can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase. Recurring renewal payments and redeemed vouchers are not refundable.
